Poor technical score: Your bits are showing!

by Jonathan 25 March 2010 Technology

Yeah, I broke all kinds of things when I moved the blog around and re-organized things.  One of those things was the RSS feed, which is used in news readers and in all sorts of places where I might want to have this content re-posted.  One of those places that used it was my Facebook [...]

New blog live

by Jonathan 15 March 2010 Technology

During lunch today, I pressed some keys and made the new site live.  I’m sure there are still some details that I need to work-out.  In the meantime, here’s hoping at least all of the basic stuff works….

It might very well be time for a change

by Jonathan 4 March 2010 Technology

I keep getting frustrated with how this site works. I think it might be time for a change here. I think I need to work a little harder on the change to make it worthwhile. It has to happen, though, because I now get irritated enough about how this site works that I don’t post here anymore. Change ahoy.

A Revival?

by Jonathan 4 May 2009 Photography

A revival of sorts this is. I’ve been letting this blog languish for a bit too long here. I started to spend a lot more effort twittering small updates, and ran myself out of time to work on larger updates for the blog. At the time, I decided to add my twitter feed to the top of the blog here. I checked it, then logged-out and moved on with the busy part of life. Today I noticed that the twitter feed hasn’t updated in weeks, partially due to a configuration bug that was introduced when one of the machines where I have this blog hosted was upgraded. Argh.

Busy times

by Jonathan 22 March 2009 Photography

Mammoth Park FisherHi happy readers. It has been a little while since I posted here. We’ve been pretty busy. I’ve been working on a show for Riverview school district. They’re doing Jesus Christ Superstar, which is quite possibly one of my favorite shows. That is going well, and will probably be the subject of a few longer posts later. I’ve also been busy learning my new camera, which has been quite fun.

A new camera, a picnic, maybe some other new technology, and a collapsing retaining wall

by Jonathan 7 March 2009 House and Home

Jenny at the DamJenny and I just got home after a most delightful picnic. I am working as Sound Designer for a show over in the Riverview school district (that’s in Oakmont, PA, in case you’re not from these parts). There was a tech work session today, so I was busy over there for that. I was done with my part right around 15:00.

Do odd things happen in your old house, too?

by Jonathan 2 March 2009 House and Home

Do odd things happen in your old house, too? Jenny and I have never really felt “alone” here in our home, though we’ve also not had a whole lot happen that we thought was out of the ordinary. Lately, though, we’ve had at least two incidents that seemed to be strange.

Pictures from St. Louis!

by Jonathan 4 February 2009 Photography

St. Louis Arch
I have finally posted the pictures from St. Louis. There aren’t a whole lot of them–we really only had part of one day to explore during the daylight. I didn’t take the big camera to the blues club, so the one picture from that is an iPhone picture. Click on the picture above to head to the gallery to check out the rest! You’ll even get to see my friends from work J and N there! :)

Call me a slacker…

by Jonathan 1 February 2009 Technology

Yeah. Just call me a giant slacker. I am. I didn’t realize it had been a month since I posted anything here. Life got a little busy, and I let this slip for a little while. Sorry about that. Here is a quick recap of January:

Some small blog changes

by Jonathan 8 November 2008 Technology

Some readers might notice a few changes here. They are pretty minor, but probably warrant some quick notes. The biggest change is that posts on the main page are now in “summary” format. To read the whole post, click on the “Read More” gadget at the bottom of the post. This change was made so that the posts on the front page are somewhat more concise, and readers who are interested in only certain items can read only those items in depth, instead of scrolling all over the page. The other update of consequence is that the user login block was moved to the right sidebar.
