Call me a slacker…

Yeah. Just call me a giant slacker. I am. I didn’t realize it had been a month since I posted anything here. Life got a little busy, and I let this slip for a little while. Sorry about that. Here is a quick recap of January:

  1. New Year’s Day was fun. I had off on the Friday following it. Jenny and I relaxed. I had some shop time. It was fun.
  2. We both went back to work on the following Monday. It was work. It was Monday. Yay?
  3. Not a whole lot happened for two weeks. I was pretty busy with work. I had a little bit of shop time.
  4. My good friend Nick came into town for a weekend. My Dad and I planned to meet him at a place in Harmar to talk about a movie script he’s writing. Of course, he was running a little late, and we were in the middle of a giant snowstorm. Fun.
  5. Around this same time, my Dad and I were working on building some raised platforms for the news set in the TV studio at Duquesne.
  6. I had an ultra-busy week at work leading up to my trip to…
  7. St. Louis. In January. I drove, at least partly because I like the drive, and partly because I needed a break from everything else for a little while. It was a fun drive. There was lots of snow. The conference I was attending was decent. It allowed me to put a lot of names to faces, and to get a better feel for how this particular segment of our industry operates. Fortunately, I was with friends (hi N! hi J!), which made things a lot more fun. Morning coffee with N and dinners with N, J, and K (and other new faces from the conference) were definitely good times.
  8. I came back from St. Louis.
  9. Jenny and I went to see “Revolutionary Road” last night. It’s a girl movie. She enjoyed it, though, so it’s all good. 🙂

And that ends January. Literally. We got home from the movie at about 23:45, so we flipped on SNL and that was it.

I had intended to write a good bit while away in St. Louis, but the time was better spent with friends.

Jonathan does a lot of stuff. If you ask Jenny, maybe he does too much stuff.
